I gave a few away to Guildies who missed the event last year, and I certainly raised an eyebrow when I saw that the mini's will be exchangeable for something.

It sort of does seem like a slap in the face to those who gave away their mini-Pigs.

I wouldn't be surprised if they give another way of getting the new minipet besides just mini pigs. Or they'll give them out at the same event like mini pigs, just that people trading minipigs would get them before.

I am getting a whiff of the fact you might need more then 2 or 3 pigs to get what you need from the collector, since the actual guildwars site mentions "those lucky few who got multiple pigs" etc

Sort of get the impression you might need more then one pig for this new "pet".

If it is a pet that is.

I think it means "spare" as the other unused pigs rotting up your storage theres alot of mini pigs and I mean alot so it most likely means that, arena net are not the type to go screw people over by asking for more than one of these, it most likely mean one.

Multiple means > 1. So if you have two, that means you have multiple. No indication whatsoever that you will need more than one.

Almost as bad a rumor as the person who said you'd be able to trade them in for Rollerbeetles. Oh wait, that was me.

Its possible but you have to admit its not improbable since most collectors in gw actually require more then one of the item he needs to swap for whatever he is providing.

or it means since you got multiple, you can trade ONE of them to the collector to get a new mini, and keep your original pig.

I agree, whatever this new trade (probably mini) is will probably be worth no more then 2-3x what the pig has been all along. And 3x "you can't give these things away" isn't all that high...

Gaile said that the reward for festival participation will be a "special item" of some sort. Not a mini or a hat. Rats will apparently only be coming from the fortunes this year.

I want a mini rat-----I opened hundreds of those dang fortunes last year and didnt get a single pig out of it!!! If thats the ONLY way to get a rat I will be realllllly PISSSED off!!
